About me

Bärbel Gerhardt

I am Bärbel Gerhardt and I bring more than 30 years of experience in marketing and communications. About half of those years as an employee in international corporations. Most recently I was Manager External Communications at FedEx Europe, responsible for the EMEA region. During my corporate career I received the so called Five Star Award twice in a row, the highest internal recognition at FedEx.

Since 2014 I have been working as an independent consultant. I have delivered many workshops with around 300 managers since 2024. From my own experience as a manager I know where things get stuck in daily work and which levers actually move something. Between my corporate career and self employment I traveled the world by bicycle for two years. That experience shaped my view on people, cultures and communication in a fundamental way. In addition I have trained as a copywriter, editor and AI manager. That helps me to get complex content to the point and to bring modern methods into my work.

Here you find answers to the most common questions about my communication seminars for managers.

The seminars are designed for first level managers with people responsibility and for communication leads in companies. CEOs and managing directors are welcome too, but the focus is on managers who are deeply involved in operations.
Both are possible. Many seminars take place online. For companies in southwest Germany, in the Stuttgart, Freiburg, Villingen-Schwenningen and Rottweil regions or in German speaking Switzerland I also offer on site formats.
The seminars are modular. A typical format consists of three modules of two to two and a half hours each. This makes the training easy to fit into your daily work.
No. Every seminar is individually tailored to the situation and needs of your company. After a detailed briefing I create a custom concept.
I offer communication seminars in German and English. This is particularly valuable for international teams.
My communication seminars are designed for 6 to 12 participants. Depending on your company's needs the number can vary.
My seminars are interactive. Participants work together, develop their own solutions and are not just lectured to. I also make sure that no direct superiors are in the same course, so everyone can speak openly.
The cost depends on the scope and the number of participants. After the free intro call you get an individual proposal.
